Lip Neutralization

Lip Neutralization is a specialized treatment for those with two-toned lips (blue or purple), cool, brown, or dark color tones. It is a procedure often performed on clients with darker skin tones or those whose lips have darkened over time due to weather conditions, hyperpigmentation, underlying medical issues, injury, smoking or other circumstances.

It involves injecting neutralising ink pigments into the lip area to balance darker tones and enhance the natural lip colour, shape, and symmetry. The treatment creates a subtle, rather than saturated, effect to ensure natural-looking results. Whilst injectables (lip fillers) are great for adding permanent volume to the lip area, lip neutralization is perfect for adding definition and fullness.

It may take 2-4 sessions of lip neutralization to achieve the desired result. Each session is scheduled at least 6 weeks apart and the practitioner should adjust their technique to meet individual requirements

Skin, lifestyle, tanning, weather & following aftercare..all these determine your permanent makeup outcome.
Lip Blushing will get darker and look uneven during the first stage of the healing process.
They will lighten up to 40% throughout the following weeks.
At the touch-up session we can make slight changes/alteration if needed.

TIPS ON KEEPING YOUR LIPS LOOKING FANTASTIC:

Wear a daily sunscreen to prevent the sun from prematurely fading the pigment in the skin.

If a product lightens, brightens or tightens avoid using it on or around your lips indefinitely.

We recommend yearly touch-ups to maintain the full color and shape.

After applying your makeup/foundation, take a damp Q-tip and clean off your lips: this allows the pigment to show through without looking muddled by makeup.

Prepare before the procedure

Please strictly avoid caffeine, alcohol or blood thinners (ex: coffee, caffeinated tea, soda) at least 24 hours prior

Do not consume alcohol 1-2 days prior to your appointment.

Do not get any facials, microneedling or exfoliating treatments at least 3 weeks before your appointment

Do not go tanning or get a sunburn at least 2 weeks before your appointment.

Do not exercise the day of your appointment

Make sure to at least have a snack before your appointment. You don’t want to come in on an empty stomach, especially when the whole process takes about 2.5 hours.

No Lip Fillers 4-6 weeks prior to your lip appointment (If you have lip fillers, wait at least 6 weeks and allow them to settle first. If you do not have lip fillers but want to get them after a lip tattoo, do the tattoo first and then add the fillers. Otherwise, there’s a small chance of filler migration due to lip trauma. This is rare, but you should be aware of the possibility) Week before the procedure scrub your lips by sugar at least once a day to removes dryness and flakiness.

Week before start to moisturize your lips (Having smooth lips helps ensure that pigment is implemented as evenly as possible)

If you are prone to cold sores you need to take antiviral medication prescribed by the doctor

Arrive with no makeup for your appointment. A lot of wiping of pigment takes place and makeup can be ruined, so save yourself the hassle!
